The infamous belly shot. This is what 40 weeks looks like. I feel great and baby is low.

So the due date is past and now we are playing the waiting game. Jim continues to work as long as there is no sign of Heaby and I entertain myself with books and the internet.


We have been going for walks looking for a sign and contemplating becoming new parents.
Our bedroom is in a good place. We got Jerry and Janis up on the wall. Here is the view from Heaby's cradle.

Rainy Day in SB

38 weeks today!

We are getting a ton of rain making for good indoor home project weather. I started the day making a big batch of "green" soup with kale, bok choy and fava greens we got from the CSA farm this week. Just before the storm Jim picked a ton of our neighbors oranges so now its on to baking orange bread with cinnamon. The idea is that we will have a few things saved up and in the freezer for easy access when Heaby joins us.

I also spent a couple of hours this afternoon at my virtual baby shower that my mom and dad were so kind to throw for me. All my lovely relatives in Minnesota showed up at my parents house and I was Skyped in for greetings. Each aunt took turns opening their gift for me, pretty fun. The room is coming together and I am looking forward to taking it easy this week.

Just getting started...

Brim is 33 weeks pregnant today and the reality is starting to set in. We are preparing our nest and getting ready to have our world rocked.
